Geo-education and Geo-interpretation activities

A Geopark is an ideal place to carry out didactic activities dealing with geological issues, nature preservation and sustainable development strategies, as well as to preserve the knowledge regarding local traditions and the historical-cultural values of a territory.

The Beigua Geopark district offers different activities and opportunities: visitor centers and information points, geological trails, guided fieldtrips, thematic exhibitions, special publications and guide-books, training courses, scientific research activities, environmental education programs aiming at a more detailed knowledge of the geological-geomorphological features of the territory.

Beigua Geopark activates regular initiatives and projects in the field of educational programmes. Activities for schools represent a constantly growing field thanks to both the commitment of the operators of the Geopark's Educational Center and to the teachers who are more and more aware of the environmental problems. Every school year the Beigua Geopark plans didactic offers for kindergartens, primary school, secondary school of first and second grade.
